Terms of Service

1. About This Application

Silvanus ("the Application") is a social media and business intelligence platform operated by Quil ("we", "us", "our"). The Application connects to Facebook and Instagram via the Meta Graph API to retrieve page insights, engagement metrics, and audience data for our own Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts.

        This Application is strictly for internal business use by authorised Build it staff members only.
        It is not a public-facing product and is not available for use by third parties.
      

2. Authorised Use

Access to the Application is restricted to:

Employees and managers of Quil
Individuals who have been issued login credentials by the system administrator
Personnel with a legitimate business need to access social media performance data

Authorised users may only access data for the Build it store pages they have been assigned to. Sharing login credentials with unauthorised persons is strictly prohibited.

3. Meta Platform Data

The Application accesses data through the Meta Graph API in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms and Meta's Developer Policies. This includes:

Facebook Page insights (reach, impressions, engagement, fan counts)
Instagram Business account insights (reach, impressions, profile views, follower counts)
Post and media performance metrics
Aggregated audience demographic data (age ranges, gender distribution)

All data retrieved is owned by Quil and relates exclusively to our own Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts. No third-party user data is accessed or stored.

4. Prohibited Activities

Users of this Application must not:

Attempt to access data beyond their assigned location permissions
Export, share, or distribute analytics data outside of authorised internal reporting channels
Use the Application to access, scrape, or collect data from pages or accounts not owned by Quil
Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or circumvent the Application's security measures
Share, transfer, or disclose login credentials to any other person

5. Data Retention

The Application does not permanently store social media metrics data. All analytics data is fetched live from the Meta Graph API on demand and is not retained in a database. Access credentials (API tokens) are stored securely on the server and are never transmitted to end users.

6. Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Application. Availability is subject to Meta API uptime, server maintenance, and token validity. Page Access Tokens expire periodically and must be renewed by the system administrator.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided for internal informational purposes only. Quil shall not be liable for any business decisions made based on data displayed in the Application, or for any inaccuracies in data returned by the Meta API.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Application following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page.
